Does anyone know if any other makers are working on peddle drive solution? Maybe the next company will take the fisherman into consideration when creating the mold to allow for better mounting spaces.

P.S. Thanks to Hobie both for inventing the pedal drive and supporting the tourney

The only other foot propelled kayak I know of is made by Harry Bryan. I believe it's called a flipper. It uses the rudder as propulsion. Looks superior to me since you can use it to steer as well as propel, and use as rudder for sailing rig. Very expensive however and attached to a SIK.

Prophish at prophish.com has a cheaper simpler (less sophisticated? More sophisticated?) propulsion device called a quick fin which is only about 150 bucks. They make rafts but it might be adaptable to kayaks.
