Default Estero Bay Reds

Fished out of Weeks fish camp yesterday. Never had much luck in Estero Bay but my fishing partner insisted on going there. He caught one catfish and a jack, I caught these

plus a couple more short reds and a decent trout. Think I'll get another invite to fish with him?

I see a single hook in the red's mouth and a castnet on board. Were you using live finger mullet?

Estero Bay is one fishy place...as you now know! NICE fish!

Nice Red. Estero Bay can be very good.

Actually I had to break out the shrimp. Didn't see much bait at all and I couldn't even scare up a ladyfish to chunk up. Might be time for a name change.

Yeah Josh, look at me now. It's amazing what a year of kayak fishing will do to a guy.

WOW, nice red!

I fished Estero Bay once this past Sept... supposed to be redfish time, but all I got on lures was 1 little jack. (Granted, we didn't get over there and start fishing until about 9am, and the tide was low slack most of the time.) We fished from the boat ramp on the West side of the bay... maybe we shoulda' fished the East side?)

But, I look forward to trying it again sometime...
