for about the price of what sales tax would have

What happens if I get a kayak shipped to me
and it’s damaged when I receive it? |

This is a very rare occurrence. We package kayaks in
such a way that they are very protected, but accidents can happen.
At KFS we do whatever it takes to keep our customers
happy. Kayaks can get scratched and scraped during the shipping processs, but these minor cuts pose no structural threat to the kayak. Kayaks are very tough
and you will have many scratches and scrapes after your
first day on the water. We recommend that you inspect your kayak at the time
of pick up or delivery. If there is a serious problem it should be
recorded by the delivery driver or warehouse personel.

I plan on buying a kayak from KFS. Should
I purchase the rack system for my vehicle first? |
| A: |
We sell Thule and Yakima systems but some people already
have factory or other after-market racks which only need accessories
like cradles or pads to carry their kayak. We strongly recommend
calling us to discuss the best way to transport a kayak or
multiple kayaks on your vehicle. Very often people buy expensive
rack systems only to find out that they only needed a very
simple set-up or even worse-they didn’t need a rack system
at all.

We do sometimes have used kayaks and demos that we sell at

No, those are the kayaks we feel fish the best, but we can
order in any models from Hobie, Native Watercraft, Heritage, Ocean Kayak, Malibu,
Wilderness Systems, and Liquid Logic. We will take special orders
but they have to be paid in full before we will place an order from the manufacturer.

We do take trade-in’s but you will lose some money off the original value of the
kayak because we are now getting a used kayak back and will
have to resell it at a reduced price.

about anything you need to know about rigging your fishing kayak.

Does KFS organize trips, demos or clinics? |

We currently work with kayak fishing guides from around
the country that offer trips to great kayak fishing destinations.
We usually do a demo day at least once a year and by joining our Mailing
List you will be kept up to date about all KFS events. Private demos can be arranged weather permitting - all you need to do is contact the shop 973-659-1114 and we can arrange to take you to a lake near the KFS store (please call at least one week in advance to make an appointment)

What is the return policy for accessories

We have a 100% satisfaction guarantee here at Kayak Fishing Stuff. Items can be returned within 10 days of receipt. We will gladly refund or exchange your merchandise purchase price. This refund does not include shipping fees.
11- 30 days after receipt you may return unused products in their original packaging for a store credit or Gift Certificate.
All Kayaks shipped are non returnable except for warranty repairs or warranty replacements.
Refunds are made by company check and mailed to the customer within 14 days of receipt of returned merchandise. Please do not return any items without first contacting KFS. It is highly recommended that you ship all returns back to us via FedEx or UPS due to the ability to track shipment. Please be sure to include all original packaging. a manufacturer warranty issue? |

KFS will always help you resolve a problem you might have
with a defective kayak. Kayak warranty issues do not necessarily have to be resolved at the dealer where you purchased your kayak. Any dealer should be able to help you resolve a warranty issue if they sell your brand of kayak.
